CHAPTER 1
"Jeremy... He... HE! I can't believe it!" Candace cried, "He cancelled our date and was walking with another girl! How could he!? He's cheating on me!"
"You realize that Jeremy and you aren't officially dating, right?" Phineas raised an eyebrow at his sister.
"Yeah, yeah... Don't be such a smart-alec," Candace sighed, "It's just not fair! That girl just walks in and steals him! How will I ever know if he loves or has feelings for me!? My life is over! RUINED! DONZO!"
"Come on, Candace! Be tough here!" Phineas tried to cheer up, "I'm sure there's nothing going on between him and that girl!"
"He was walking on Sunset Beach with her! That's probably a romantic place! He never took ME there! Whether we're dating or not! Shouldn't he have invited me to go to the Sunset Beach for a romantic walk with him?" Candace sobbed.
"Boys, Candace!" Linda exclaimed, "I'm going to go down to the antique store with Lawrence. Candace, I guess I'm leaving you in charge. If anything REALLY goes wrong, give me a call, alright Candace? Now all of you have fun while I'm gone!"
"Thanks, Mom." Phineas smiled as she walked away.
"What's the point in taking charge?" Candace sighed, "I'm going to go lie down in bed and think about how my life is totally stupid. Alright? Do whatever. I am not gonna bother to call her either if you guys do anything... That is crazy. Not anything. Only your normal schemes and all. You know..."
"Well, sadly, Candace, I've never known what you meant by us having 'crazy' schemes," Phineas said, "It's just a little summer activity for fun!"
"Shut it, Phineas..." Candace mumbled.
