Biased Choices

Description: Cody is the judge of a new 'talent' type of show like American Idol. But, things turn dramatic for him when his old girlfriend, Bailey, auditions. An amazing guy also is in the competition, but Cody doesn't know if his feelings should get in the way of his choice.
CHAPTER 1: Auditions
"Welcome! This is the new show, Got Talent? sponsered by American Idol!" Jeremiah Trouse said, "I'm your host, Jeremiah Trouse! Our three judges, Cody Martin, Billy Boyy, and Trent West. Let's get to the first auditionee!"
"Bring that talented person out!" Billy Boyy screamed, "I can't wait to feel the talent from these auditionees!"
"Yeah, Billy Boyy!" Trent smiled, "Come on Jeremiah, let's bring the fire out tonight, and feel it's burn!"
"Our judges are in a good and excited mood tonight," Jeremiah grinned, "The thing is, there's one judge who we haven't even heard speaking! Cody Martin! Come on man!"
"Woosh, I'm just as excited for tonight," Cody said, "I would be delighted to see these wonderful souls' talents. It's so great to have such talented people be here tonight."
"Well, we got those exciting words out of his mouth!" Jeremiah exclaimed, "Please welcome our first auditionee! Brandon Hills! Come on out, Brandon!"
"It's so great to be here," Brandon said, "I'm waiting for the judges to see what I have to share with them. I really hope I can make it to the next round. But, being here is an accomplishment, isn't it?"
"Yes, yes it is, Brandon," Trent said, "Now, what talent do you have to share with us?"
"Well, it's been a life-long dream of mine to sing," Brandon smiled, "I've always had a fear to sing in front of crowds, but today, I think I'm going to feel alive."
"Somebody has some good confidence today!" Billy Boyy exclaimed, "Did you give the sound man, Greg James, your track? Or is it an acappella your singing for us?"
"I gave the soundman my track," Brandon said, "I'm ready."
"Go ahead." Cody said.
The track began to play.
"Holding everything I've seen behind," Brandon sang, "I've waited a million years, just to see the smile on your face, when I kissed you. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh... I've always loved your smi-ile. But I never got one for myself. All the other guys, around the town, could make you smi-i-e-ayle! I ain't good enough. I ain't great enough. I ain't the one for you-ooh. If I can't make ya smile, I can't get you to. Then I. Ain't. The one for you-oooooh, yeah."
"ENOUGH!" Billy Boyy yelled, "What the hell is this? What song is this?"
"I wrote it..." Brandon said in a small voice.
"This is idiotic," Billy Boyy said, "I can't believe you came today with a song you wrote. I wanted to hear some real music, Brandon! You make me wanna say, fuck you! every minute! Why, why did you bring your 'talent' here?"
The truth was Billy was jealous of his talent.
"Fuck off," Trent said, "That was amazing, Brandon! I guess we're voting now. Billy, this is obvious, but yes or no?"
"No, and stick a dick in it," Billy Boyy snapped, "A motherfucker could play better."
Brandon's eyes were filled with anger and tears.
"Cody, yes or no?" Trent asked.
"Yes," Cody replied, "Haste is a way of life, let the critics handle it. But Brandon, you got some talent here. Bill's just a little under the weather now. You're gonna go to the next round if Trent says yes."
"Thank you, judge Cody." Brandon smiled.
"Trent, your music is from your heart, and that's amazing," Trent said, "You're going to the next round, baby!"
"Horror..." Billy Boyy sighed.
"THANK YOU SO MUCH!" Brandon cried.
