Suzie Crabgrass walked along the halls of James K. Polk Middle School. Next year would be her first year of ninth grade_ high school! How great was that? She already had her boyfriend picked out, and a backup boyfriend, too! Ned Bigby, boyfriend of Suzie. And Billy Loomer, vice boyfriend of Suzie.
"Suzie, hi!" Ned exclaimed and kissed her on the cheek, "You wanna get pizza after school?"
"Yeah, I'd love to," Suzie smiled, "It's just gonna be you and me, right? On a romantic pizza dinner! Sounds awesome."
"Hey, best friend," Moze said, "Oh, hey Suzie! You coming to pizza and movie night? Ned really wanted you to join us. It's a best friend tradition we have."
"Jennifer is coming?" Suzie asked, "You may have left out a detail. But sure, I'll come. See you there, Ned. And you too, Jennifer."
"Alright," Moze smiled, "Bye, Suzie!"
"I feel great," Ned said, "I can peck Suzie on the cheek whenever I want to, now! It's not just on rare occasions she loves me, so she kisses me. I have the freedom to! I'm her boyfriend now! Oh, that reminds me, I'm just asking, how are you and Faymen doing?"
"Faymen and me..." Moze sighed, "Well, we're just great, Ned! He really likes me... And I really... Like him. We're in a perfect relationship!"
"Wait a second, Ned Bigby!" Suzie shouted, "You're in a perfect relationship with JENNIFER? I thought you two were just friends! I can't believe you cheated on me, Ned."
"Suzie!" Moze stopped her, "I was telling Ned about my relationship with Faymen! I'm not dating... NED! We're just best friends!"
"Oh," Suzie sighed, "Jennifer... Ned... I'm really sorry the way I just acted. I shouldn't have accused you two."
"It's alright, Suzie," Ned smiled, "We'll have a great time at pizza night together!"
Suzie went to find Billy.
"Billy!" Suzie exclaimed, "Hey, cutie. You're still my vice boyfriend, right? I'm suspicious of Ned and Jennifer going out."
"I'll crush Ned if he goes out with Jennifer!" Loomer yelled, "But in the other-half, I ain't your vice boyfriend anymore. I got a girlfriend who appreciates me and doesn't make me VICE."
"Yeah, right..." Suzie rolled her eyes, "Who's the chic?"
"Missy!" Loomer exclaimed, "Missy has a pool. And also, she's so flamin' hot! And she thinks I'm cute cause' I'm a bad-boy. Aren't I the best?"
"Ha!" Suzie laughed, "Pathetic. Missy Meaney is just so... Odd. You know she likes Ned? Proven fact."
"She said she let go of Ned a long time ago," Loomer protested, "She's all mine now."
"Yeah, Crabgrass," Missy put her arm around Loomer, "Billy's mine now. Don't be jealous. Run along with Ned! You know he clearly likes Jennifer? You'll be cheated on, while Billy will be happy with me!"
"Ned doesn't like Jennifer," Suzie snapped, "He loves me. They're obviously just friends!"
"Sure," Missy said, "You keep dreaming, that is!"
